The freighter was built in 2013 by South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries under yard number S632. The vessel has overall length of 368.50 m, moulded beam of 51.00 m and maximum summer draft of 15.50 m. APL Raffles is among the most modern and most environmental ships operating nowadays, implementing the latest IMO standards for safety and efficiency. The vessel has capacity to carry 13,900 TEU with 1,200 reefer plugs. The deadweight of APL Raffles is 150,936 DWT and the gross tonnage is 151,963 GRT. All these specifications rank her in the list of world’s largest container ships.




The engineering on board of the container carrier APL Raffles is high efficient and low consumption, providing high power to the fixed pitch propeller.
