CMA CGM Fidelio is very large container carrier, built in 2006 by Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea under yard number 1648. The single-hull vessel is designed and constructed according to latest IMO standards, implementing the most modern marine engineering developments. CMA CGM Fidelio has overall length of 349.05 m, while the length between perpendiculars is 329.00 m with moulded beam of 42.00 m, depth of 27.30 m and maximum summer draft of 14.50 m. The deadweight of the giant freighter is 113,889 DWT, the gross tonnage is 99,500 GRT and the net tonnage is 50,109 NT. The powerful main engine and the improved solid screw propeller allow the container ship to operate with service speed of 25.7 kts. The freighter has five auxiliary diesel generators with total output power of 17,470 hp and emergency diesel generator with power of 815 hp. CMA CGM Fidelio is equipped with 2,500 kW bow thruster, which ensure safety maneuvering at ports and easier berthing. All the engineering is designed according to the latest standards of IMO for zero SOx and low NOx emissions, as well as low fuel consumption.
CMA CGM Fidelio is large and flexible for operations through the major straits in the world, including Suez Canal. the vessel is deployed for operations of MEX line service of CMA CGM between Asia and Mediterranean Sea.
