Front Earl

Front EarlFront Earl is very large crude carrier, built in 2017 by Ariake shipyard in Japan. The vessel was constructed according to the latest IMO and marine engineering standards, featuring with higher capacity and efficiency of operations. The principal particulars of the Front Earl tanker have been designed to provide flexibility for worldwide trade by achieving both compact hull form and large deadweight at shallow draft. The overall length of the ship is 330.00 m, moulded beam is 60.00 m, boards depth is 29.35 m and maximum draft is 21.55 m. The deadweight of the VLCC Front Earl is 303,121 DWT and the gross tonnage is 156,391 GRT. The excellent hull performance was achieved by using various and comprehensive technologies, which include the advanced lower resistance hull form and optimized energy saving devices. The ship features with improved capacity, better flexibility of operations and higher profitability.

The engineering of the VLCC Front Earl is MAN B&W 7G80ME-C9.2, which has a maximum output power of 44,270 hp. This is enough power for reach service speed of 15.8 kts, while the maximum speed under ballast is 16.5 kts. The aggregate is designed as an add-on to the MAN B&W two-stroke ME engine technology. It allows the engine to run on either heavy fuel oil (HFO) or liquid natural gas (LNG). The change-over to fuel oil mode is always done without any power loss of the engine. The fuel oil consumption was further improved by a MAN Diesel & Turbo model G-type electronically controlled marine diesel engine, which complies with the MARPOL NOx regulation (Tier II), and a high efficiency propeller.

The tanker Front Earl is operating under the flag of Marshall Islands. The vessel has IMO number 9788320, MMSI 538007494 and call sign V7GO8.
