Ivonne is a very large crude carrier (VLCC), which is operated by the South Korean shipowner Sinokor Merchant Marine since 2014. The vessel was built in 2004 by Hyundai Heavy Industries in their shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea. The crude carrier was built according to the latest IMO standards for safety and environmental operations. The overall length of the VLCC Ivonne is 333.00 m and the length between perpendiculars is 316.95 m, while the moulded beam is 60.00 m, board depth is 30.40 m and the maximum draft is 22.50 m. The deadweight of the ship is 318,658 DWT, the gross tonnage is 161,045 GRT, and the maximum net tonnage 109,921 NT. The vessel has three cargo separations through three-manifolds with five center Tanks and ten board tanks (5 starboard and 5 port boars). The maximum operating capacity of cargo pumps on board is 15,000 t/hr, which ensure fast cargo handling and unloading of the product onboard. The engineering of the very large crude carrier Ivonne is reliable with low CO2 and zero-sulfur emissions. The main engine of the VLCC is Hyundai MAN B&W 6S90MC-C, which has a total output power of 39,353 hp at 76 rpm. Such power is enough for the vessel to reach a service speed of 16.1 kts. The efficiency of operations was improved by developments of engineering, providing more power without increasing the fuel consumption and green gas emissions.
The VLCC Ivonne has one continuous freeboard deck from stem to stern with sunken deck-type stem deck, transverse bulkheads, and four longitudinal bulkheads in way of the cargo space. Special attention has been paid to the ship’s maneuverability, resulting in a large rudder being fitted.
The very large crude carrier Ivonne is operating under the IMO number 9290347, MMSI 356869000 and call sign 3ETA9. The vessel is operating under the flag of Panama and classified by Bureau Veritas.
