MSC MagnificaMSC Magnifica is large and modern cruise ship, built in 2010 with yard number T32 in STX Europe shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. The vessel is Musica-class, operated by MSC Cruises on rotation in the western Mediterranean. The cruise ship has overall length of 293.80 m, moulded beam of 32.30 m and maximum draft of 7.85 m. The deadweight of the vessel is 9,429 DWT and the gross tonnage is 95,128 GRT. With such capacity MSC Magnifica has capacity to carry 2,550 passengers in double occupancy, while the maximum capacity is 3,605 passengers. All the guests on board are served by 1,027 crew, who offer high comfort and quality of the cruise. MSC Magnifica has 12 decks with 1,259 passenger cabins, each with large living area and comfort, but also featuring with much higher number of balcony cabins. There are two main restaurants, two speciality restaurants and a buffet, but also on board the guests can enjoy 17 bars and lounges. Also the vessel has three swimming pools, including one with a retractable all-weather roof. More than 1,160 sq m of the public areas are dedicated to a gym, spa, Thalassotherapy and wellness center. The entertainment facilities on board include a 1,250-seat Art Deco-style theater, 4D cinema, bowling alley and virtual games area.

MSC Magnifica is one of the most modern and advanced technologies vessel. The cruise ship is equipped with a diesel-electric propulsion system, powered by five diesel engines Wartsila 16V38B, each with power of 15,550 hp. The total engines power is 77,750 hp, which is transmitted to the two Aceo leroy Somer converteam electric motors power each with power of 17.5 MW, or total 35,000 kW, and two fixed propellers with conventional shafts. Such power is enough for the cruise ship to operate with service speed of 23.0 kts, while the maximum speed during trials exceed 24.5 kts. Also on board of the modern cruise ship there are five diesel generators. The engineering is powerful and highly reliable, having low fuel consumption and high efficiency.
